St. Patty’s Day

I am the type of person who loves any and every holiday. I can never turn down an excuse to celebrate something….however St. Patrick’s day this year was… not the best. This first half of the day was great! Had a super bun breakfast with champagne and green pancakes…

All of our friends then met at a bar to get the celebration started :)

However later in the afternoon I got hit with a gnarly flu and ended up having to take a cab home early… ugh. I have been sick the past few days, which is crazy because I haven’t been sick in FOREVER. I was feeling better yesterday so I was able to go do some writing in the studio, which is good. I feel better today, but still not 100%! I’m hoping tomorrow I am back to normal. Fingers crossed!

ghana.

Last weekend I had the absolutely AMAZING opportunity to go to Ghana. It was truly a life changing experience. We were able to interact with people in different villages, and it was incredible to see that people with so little could be so happy. This trip really opened my eyes, and made me appreciate how lucky I am to live the life I live.

It is so easy nowadays to get caught up in our day to day lives and forget how lucky we are to even have food to eat. Every day we should find joy and be thankful in the many gifts that we have. Try to take a step back every now and then to appreciate the little things because somewhere in the world there is another person who would give their life for what you have.
